ACGC was pleased to host Together 2017: Collaboration, Innovation & the Sustainable Development Goals, the first Canadian multi-stakeholder symposium on the Sustainable Development Goals, on October 23-24th 2017, at the University of Calgary.
Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC), in collaboration with many participants and sponsors from the private sector, civil society, and several representatives from federal, provincial, and municipal governments came together to explore a whole-of-society approach to the SDGs from a multitude of perspectives.
Together 2017 provided the opportunity to showcase the work being done across sectors, celebrate the accomplishments already made, while recognizing the work that still needs to be done in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. For two days, delegates listened to innovative solutions, collaborated, and developed strategies to embed the Global Goals within their organizational frameworks, so that togehter, we can achieve the SDGs by 2030 – in Alberta, in Canada and internationally.
Results from the sessions will be made into a report, to be shared in early 2018. In the meantime, please view presentations slides and photos, to get a glimpse of the discussions at www.together2017.ca
