Over a delicious meal with great company, charming host, and passionate presentations, a room of beautiful humans collectively mobilizes to help another community achieve their basic rights and better future for their children.

SDG Summit: University of Calgary
Saturday, September 22nd


The Sustainable Development Goals Summit focuses on skill-building and problem-solving through innovative workshops, simulations, and breakout sessions centered around the 17 SDGs.   Hosted by the Sustainable Development Goals Alliance, this is open for UofC students.  Applications for free tickets to the SDG Summit are open! Workshop: Foundations for Inclusion and AccessWednesday, October 17th: 2-5pm

Join the John Humphrey Center for Peace and human Rights for a 3 hour workshop to gain foundational knowledge of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and understand its use as a tool for accountability and accessibility. We will reflect on the relevance of the Convention, particularly as it relates to poverty, contrast this to the new federal accessibility legislation, as well as assess how Edmonton can strengthen efforts to ensure people living with disability are able to come out of poverty and live a life of health and well-being. Sign up for free.
