Youth Participants

My name is Kristyn and I am currently a student completing a master’s degree in public health. I received a B.A. in International Relations with a minor in psychology from the University of Calgary in 2018 and had the chance to participate in the co-op program during my undergraduate degree, completing internships at organizations in Calgary, Washington, DC, and Salzburg, Austria. Before COVID-19, I was volunteering at a hospital and in a research lab and I hope to return to these commitments in the future. My interests include global health, climate change, and health equity and I am committed to Goal 4 of the SDGs, “Good Health and Well-being”, but believe that all of the goals are interconnected and require a holistic approach for progress to be made.

In my free time you can find me hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains, playing soccer, reading, or practicing my French. I’m excited to learn more about the SDGs and contribute to achieving the goals at the local level here in Alberta!
