Global Connect

Global Connect 2025 Cohort at Wilder Institute, Calgary Zoo

ACGC has been running youth experiential learning programs since 2010, previously called the ‘Change Your World Youth Leadership Program, where youth travelled internationally to visit international development projects run collaboratively by ACGC’s partner organizations. Beginning in 2022, with limits on international travel, we started taking a new approach!

With the launch of Global Connect in 2022, Albertan youth began exploring international cooperation through themes of sustainability, gender equality, and humanitarian action with Alberta-based individuals and organizations working on local and global development projects. Watch the videos below to learn from the youth and hear their stories from this program.

Past Programs

In May 2025, 11 youth travelled with us across Alberta to learn about various local and global development efforts being undertaken by individuals and organizations within the province. At the end of the program, they shared their learnings and the initiatives that most impacted them. Hear their stories in this video!

Meet the 2025 Global Connect Youth who joined ACGC in May to travel across Alberta and learn about international development, humanitarian aid, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals!
