One Girl, One Book, and One Pen: Fundraiser for Girls Schooling in Pakistan

The University of Calgary Faculty of Social Work and the Canadian Association for Children’s Education in Pakistan (CACEP) invite you to their annual One Girl, One Book, and One Pen: Fundraiser for Girls Schooling in conflict affected areas of Pakistan at Hope Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 26th 6:00-9:00PM MST.
There’ll be singing, dancing, and music by children and youth from Calgary, as well as a keynote address by Ziauddin Yousafzai, an educator, women’s rights and education activist, and the father of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai.
This free event will also feature delicious traditional food and a silent auction in support of girls schooling in Pakistan. All the funds raised will support the education of Sadia, Zarwa, and Aysha as part of CACEP.
