Bowl for the Goals

Join the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation to mark the start of the 30th Anniversary of International Development Week. With this year's theme of "Go For The Goals", there's no better way to mark the occasion than Bowling for the Goals!

Participants are encouraged to come dressed in the colour of their favourite Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), and be prepared to win the SDG Cup!

Participating fees from this event will help offset costs to send an Alberta youth delegate to the United Nations in March 2020! Come out and support the SDGs by ensuring ensure Alberta youth voices are heard!

Official Launch of the InSight Project

360 Video Experience

Calgary Central Library: 4th February, 2pm

The InSight Project is a first-of-its-kind 360° video experience touring schools and libraries across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, bringing stories of global development to life for over 50,000 youth and members of the public. The immersive videos provide audiences the opportunity to learn about the unique challenges faced by people across the globe, and to build empathy, understanding, and action towards making a difference.

Join us on February 4th at 2pm as we unveil this unique experience to Canadians for the first time, in celebration of Canada's 30th Anniversary of International Development Week.

Attendees will be amongst the first in Canada to view the immersive documentaries, and will have the opportunity to speak to representatives of InSight organizers, the technology partner Igloo Vision, government officials, and other special guests.

Can't make it for the launch? InSight will be at the Calgary Central Library from February 4 - 14th.

About the Organizations:

InSight is a collaborative project of the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC), the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC) and the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation (SCIC).

InSight is funded by the Government of Canada, through Global Affairs Canada.

About this Event

Demystifying Partnerships with Global Affairs Canada

Please join the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation for an information session with a representative from Global Affairs Canada’s Partnerships for Development Innovation Branch. The event will provide information and insight into questions that are frequently asked by Global Affairs Canada’s partners, or potential partners, including:

  • What are the main elements of Global Affairs Canada’s international assistance?
  • What elements should be included when designing a project for Global Affairs Canada funding?
  • How do selection processes (calls for proposals and unsolicited proposals) work?
  • What happens after a project is selected?
  • How does Global Affairs Canada work with partners during project implementation?

There will be dedicated time for questions throughout the presentation.
